America is a REPUBLIC
NOT a Democracy!
I have noticed something over the past few years that I find very troubling. The word Democracy is constantly being thrown around in place of the word Republic, by the mainstream media, both Democrats and Republicans, podcasters, and writers. It is quite apparent that the powers at be want the word Republic eliminated entirely from the consciousness of the American people.
NOT ON MY WATCH!!
Here’s the real story.
After much concentrated research, the Founding Fathers made the ultimate decision of establishing a REPUBLIC… A constitutional, representative, REPUBLIC!
Neither a democracy nor a monarchy made the short list! Please keep in mind the fundamental difference between a democracy and a Republic is its source of authority.
In America, we embraced a higher source which formed the basis of our government.
Let’s hear what Noah Webster had to say about this…
“Our citizens should early understand that the genuine source of correct Republican principles is the Bible, particularly the New Testament, or the Christian religion.”
Our Founding Fathers had every opportunity to establish a democracy and deliberately chose not to. According to Dr. Benjamin Rush, “a simple democracy is the devil’s own government.”
John Adams cautioned with these words and I quote, “remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”
President Thomas Jefferson, “a democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.
President James Monroe, “democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death.”
John Marshall, “between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”
John Adams, “our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
President Thomas Jefferson, “we hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
From the beginning our national identity and destiny have been intertwined with our relationship with God, and our belief in the Bible’s authority for daily living.
The Bible was one of the greatest influences on President John Quincy Adams, our sixth President and I quote…
“The first and almost the only book deserving of universal attention is the Bible. I speak as a man of the world…and I say to you, ‘Search the Scriptures.’
“It cannot be emphasized to strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.” Patrick Henry, whose famous quote was, ‘Give me liberty or give me death!’
Now let’s read what President John Adams had to say…” the general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were, the general principles of Christianity…Now I would avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as external and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.’
Dear Readers, your Call To Action is simple.
Get busy reading, learning, and sharing America’s spiritual heritage, ASAP!
It is incumbent upon you to counterbalance all the negative propaganda that you are being fed by the mainstream media with TRUTH!
Remember folks, this is not a spectator sport, your country needs you now more than ever to be purveyors of the TRUTH. Put down your cell phones and get into the game.
