Calling On All Prayer Warriors To Report For Duty…ASAP

We are living in a world that's immersed in a battle of good vs. evil. Who are you going to serve, God or Satan?

The spiritual battle between good and evil is increasing daily in America, on a magnitude scale of epic proportions, unlike anything we have ever witnessed in our lifetime. This occurrence should not be a surprise to anyone who reads and studies the Bible.

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

For this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

As Christians, we are not to say, “oh, well, there is nothing I can do, so I will just sit this out.” Or “it’s not my problem” or “I just want to be left alone.” This loser’s mentality is exactly what has gotten us here. We have a duty to be stewards of this great Republic, and too many in the church are shirking their responsibilities as American citizens.

The word that best describes this mindset and inactivity is complacency.

According to the Merrian-Webster dictionary, I quote. “Being complacent means being so self-satisfied and unconcerned about potential problems or the need for improvement that one becomes unaware or unmotivated to address them. It implies a sense of smugness and a lack of effort to strive for better.” BINGO! This lack of interest, awareness, and motivation is not what Jesus died on the cross for. Instead, He died on the cross for many other reasons, and this is one of them.

As “born again” believers, we have been given the same authority to rebuke all strongholds, plans, plots, and schemes that Satan sends our way to destroy us, and to place them all under our feet. This is called active participation. We are summoned by God, to occupy until He triumphantly returns!

I just heard Eric Metaxas say, “we are chosen by God for spiritual warfare.”

Jesus was the ultimate spiritual warrior, who faced persecution. As followers of Him, we need to understand this and not expect a “pass from persecution.”

According to Ephesians 6: 1 – 13 and I quote, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Daily, I put on the whole armor of God and recite this warrior’s prayer.

Heavenly Father, your warrior prepares for battle. Today, I claim victory over Satan by putting on the whole armor of God!

I put on the girdle of TRUTH! May I stand firm in the TRUTH of Your Word so I will not be a victim of Satan’s lies.

I put on the breastplate of righteousness! May it guard my heart from evil so I will remain pure and holy, protected under the blood of Jesus Christ.

I put on the shoes of peace! May I stand firm in the Good News of the Gospel so Your peace will shine through me and be a light to all I encounter.

I take the shield of faith! May I be ready for Satan’s fiery darts of doubt, denial and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat.

I put on the helmet of salvation! May I keep my mind focused on You so Satan will not have a stronghold on my thoughts.

I take the sword of the Spirit! May the two-edged sword of Your word be ready in my hands so I can expose the temping words of Satan.

By faith your warrior has put on the whole armor of God!

I am prepared to live this day in spiritual victory! Amen.

Now that you have donned on your full armor of God and prayed, always remember this.

Second Timothy 3: 1 - 7

But rather be “salt & light” and run into the darkness!

Folks, it's time to get off the couch and “suit up” with the full armor of God.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13

ONWARD!
