Happy 250th Birthday, America!

July 4th, 1776 - July 4th, 2026 – A Republic, if we can keep it!

My first thoughts as I woke up this early morning was gratitude to God, for allowing me to be born in America, and live in the freest country known to mankind. However, the freedoms we enjoy have all come with a price.

A walk through Arlington cemetery is a must for all Americans. Amen. The acres of crosses is a sober reminder of the sacrifices so many have made for us throughout the years.

Are you willing to die for your country? If not, are you willing to stand up and speak out against the influx of so much immortality spreading like wildfire in our culture!? Can you at least do that!?

I am witnessing too many cowards in all walks of life these days, who are afraid to take a stand and it’s quite nauseating. Our country was built by courageous individuals who loved God, choose to serve Him and give their very lives for Him.

Today is bittersweet for me. As a God-fearing patriot who loves her country dearly and is so glad to be alive for such a glorious occasion; I shudder at the fact knowing that we have enemies, both foreign and domestic, within our borders who want to destroy our way of life and permanently eradicate God from every aspect of our society. This is not hyperbole; it’s fact!

As Dostoyevsky has famously said, when God does not exist, anything is possible.

According to Victor Davis Hanson, we are watching a modern-day French Revolution play out as socialists hijack the Democratic party. Their agenda is a radical Green New Deal, war on fossil fuels, open borders, no deportations at all, not even for the criminally convicted. In addition to this they want to cut the defense budget, defund the police, institutionalize diversity, equity, and inclusion chauvinism. (From Overton News).

Keep in mind, the Democratic party is Pro-Abortion, Pro-Same-sex marriage, Pro-transgenderism, Pro-LBGT, plus, Pro-gender affirming surgeries. They are advocates for boys to play in girls sports and locker rooms. Also, they are just fine with equipping our public-school libraries with books that want to sexualize kids K -12 and bring in drag queens for story hour! Sickening and perverted!!

Here’s a wake-up call for all who claim to be Christians and continue to vote for the Democratic party…you are officially a counterfeit-Christian, who is no longer serving God, but who are now serving Satan. Every point I just made is a deliberate attack against God and His Word! God’s Word is TRUTH!!

“Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14.

I am wielding a sword, when I present to you the living Word of God. And His Word has full authority over every lie, every argument, every force of evil that stands against Him.

The rejection of God by so many in positions of power, prestige, and pulpits is on full display. We The People, must return to the basics found in God’s Word, which is our foundation and cornerstone. America was created by God for His purposes and namely to advance the Kingdom of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Founding Fathers were very intentional when they decided to place their full dependency and reliance upon God in establishing this nation. They choose to serve God and not man! The Bible became the standard upon which they filtered everything. And through this Biblical lens they created the longest on-going Constitutional Republic.

It is imperative we study and know our history, because too much of our history is being erased and rewritten. The following men are trusted, authentic American historians, and I highly recommend you going to their websites and begin reading their books, ASAP.

David and Tim Barton of Wallbuilders. Stephen McDowell of Providence Foundation. Bill Federer of the American Minute and the late, Dr. Marshall Foster of the World History Institute.

History is His story. All of it, the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s not for us to like or dislike, but to learn from!

History to a nation is like memory to a person. We must protect it at all costs.

The following truism is so pertinent to us today. The great Russian novelist, Alexander Solzehenitsyn, who wrote The Gulag Archipelago, and suffered through the Russian Gulag, commented on the famous truism that “he who cannot remember the past is condemned to repeat it.” He said, “IF we don’t know our own history, then we simply will have to endure all of the same mistakes, all of the same sacrifices, all of the same absurdities over again---times ten.

But here is our hope: IF we will trust the liberating God of history and return to Him, it is the tyrants who will despairing.

Charels Spurgeon, the greatest of English preachers, facing a collapsing English empire over a century ago, remained certain that he and his fellow believers had the one weapon which could defeat any would-be tyrant.

He said, there is no land beneath the sun where there is an open Bible and a preached gospel, where a tyrant long can hold his place…Let the Bible opened to be read by all men, and no tyrant can long rule in peace…The religion of Jesus make men think, and to make men think is always dangerous to a despot’s power. The cause of liberty will not be thwarted. It is the plan of our loving God to redeem His world through His Son.

The Bible is God’s love letter to all humanity and our very own personal blueprint. From the beginning our national identity and destiny have been intertwined with our relationship with God.

We must never forget how Christianity played a major role in the establishment of this great Republic.

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.” –Patrick Henry

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” –John Adams

“A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.” –Benjamin Franklin

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable support. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them.” –George Washington. America’s First President! This was taken from his 1796 farewell address.

It is undeniable that America is “one nation under God.” As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, may we never forget the sacrifices of our Founding Fathers, when they penned the Declaration of Independence, on this day 250 years ago.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”

These men were all in! No ifs, ands, or buts. They were very aware as they were affixing their names on this sacred document that they were committing treason and signing their own death certificates.

But they did it anyway for an idea called liberty and freedom for all. They put their future and ours in God’s hands for a better life that granted us the right to religious freedom…May we all take time today, to pray and seek God’s face in humble gratitude and thanks!

“Blessed is the nation, whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12

Happy 4th of July, America!!!

A Prayer Over America at 250

Heavenly Father, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we come before You with gratitude for this nation. Lord, as America marks 250 years, we pause to thank You for Your hand of mercy, Your hand of protection, and Your hand of blessing that has been upon this land. We thank You for every generation that has sacrificed, every freedom that has been preserved, and every opportunity we’ve had to preach the Gospel, worship freely, and declare the name of Jesus in this nation.

Father, we also come humbly, because we recognize that we have drifted in many ways. We have called good evil and evil good. We have turned from Your ways, neglected Your truth, and allowed compromise, confusion, and rebellion to enter places where righteousness should have stood. So Lord, we ask You to forgive us. Forgive America for our sins. Forgive the shedding of innocent blood. Forgive the rebellion, the pride, the corruption, the lawlessness, and the turning away from Your Word. Cleanse this land, O God, and let there be a true spirit of repentance from the White House to the church house, from the city streets to the family home.

And Father, I pray that as we celebrate 250 years, this would not simply be a moment of patriotism, but a moment of rededication. Let America turn back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Let there be a fresh awakening in this nation. Let the fire of revival burn again from coast to coast. Raise up a remnant that will not bow, a people who will stand for truth, preach the Gospel without compromise, and walk in holiness, boldness, and the fear of the Lord.

Lord, rebuild the broken walls in this nation. Rebuild the walls of truth, conviction, righteousness, and biblical values. Rebuild the family. Rebuild the altar. Rebuild the church. Rebuild the places that have been torn down by sin, deception, and spiritual apathy. Let there be a Nehemiah anointing in this hour, where Your people rise up and build what the enemy has tried to destroy.

I pray for our leaders, Lord. I pray for wisdom, conviction, and the fear of God to come upon those in positions of authority. Expose corruption. Tear down every evil agenda. Silence the voice of confusion and raise up righteous leadership in this nation. Protect our children, protect our families, protect our borders, and protect the future of this country from those who seek to destroy it.

And above all, Lord, let there be a harvest of souls in America unlike anything we have ever seen. Let prodigals come home. Let churches be filled with hungry people. Let signs, wonders, miracles, salvations, and deliverances break out all across this nation. Let the name of Jesus be lifted high again in America. Not just in word, but in truth, in power, and in demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

Father, we thank You for 250 years, but we ask You for something greater than celebration. We ask for transformation. We ask for repentance. We ask for awakening. We ask for revival. And we declare that America’s hope is not in a political party, not in government, not in man, but in Jesus Christ alone.

So bless this nation, Lord, and call her back to You. May America once again be a nation that honors God, values truth, protects life, upholds righteousness, and proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly.

We pray all of this in the name above every name, the name of Jesus.

Amen.
