Johnathan Edwards – A Major Player in The Great Awakening!

Pastor Johnathan Edwards was a deeply religious man who was used by God in a mighty way. His preaching began a revival known as the “Great Awakening.” This great movement of faith swept across America’s Thirteen Colonies, helping them to unite prior to the Revolutionary War.

Another man who contributed much to this “Great Awakening” was Pastor George Whitefield. He and Edwards tilled the soil for the emergence of America’s future leaders, such as George Washington, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. America’s foundation and cornerstone was laid in the Bible, therefore, yielding a Biblical worldview among the colonists and future generations.
